Documenting Europe's Highest Private Mountain Hut
The Cabane du Glacier de Tortin sits at an altitude of 3,000 meters on the slopes of the 3,328-meter Mont Fort in Switzerland, offering breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc and Tortin Glacier. Albrecht’s mission was to capture the essence of this architectural marvel in its stunning, remote environment.
To reach the site, Albrecht was flown via helicopter into the mountains. He then trekked across the glacier carrying all his gear. Working at such high altitudes and in harsh conditions posed unique challenges: freezing temperatures, unpredictable weather, and the need to manage multiple cameras and accessories.
